History

Papillion Area Community Theatre (PAC Theatre), formerly known as Papillion-La Vista Community Theatre, was founded in 2006 with a mission to provide accessible, high-quality theatrical experiences for the Papillion area and surrounding communities. From its earliest years, the organization emphasized broad community participation, drawing performers, designers, technicians, and volunteers from across Sarpy County and the greater Omaha metro to produce memorable productions in a truly unique venue: the SumTur Amphitheater.

SumTur Amphitheater opened in 2007 as a city-owned outdoor performance venue Built along the scenic Walnut Creek Late, it was designed to serve both the growing Papillion community and the wider Omaha metro area, filling a gap in outdoor performing arts infrastructure in Sarpy County.

Over the past 19 years, PAC Theatre has produced a musical each summer, bringing people from all over the community together to experience musical theatre, live and outdoors.
